  7. DOSTAR is a fast backup and file transfer system. It is ideal for transferring
  8. large files from DOS to UNIX. DOSTAR features include master and incremental
  9. backups, data compression (40 to 85 percent), DOS to UNIX file conversion,
  10. exclude directory capability, multiple volumes, speed (8 MBb in 11 minutes),
  11. tar compatibility, data verification, error recovery and nondestructive
  12. restore. DOSTAR has all the features of LONE-TAR and CTAR. DOSTAR does
  13. automatic pathname, filename, and file data conversion to format floppies.
  14. DOSTAR as a standalone backup system for MS-DOS is 10 times faster than the DOS
  15. backup utility. There are Optional Tape Drivers for QIC-02 and SCSI.
